Today the kids and I experienced our first baseball game at the new Twins stadium. Jeff was able to go last year with work (and even got to enjoy the game in the fancy box seating) but today was our first trip to the new ballpark as a family. I have to say, its pretty awesome. I also have to say, that watching a game with two young kids is not recommended if you actually want to WATCH the game. Between procuring snacks & drinks, helping the kids enjoy said snacks and drinks, and keeping the two of them contained to our area, Jeff and I combined saw what would add up to about 1 inning worth of baseball. And we even had tons of help! Janet & Art treated the whole family with tickets to the game so we had lots of extra hands on deck.
It was a great day for an outdoor game and the Twins WON! It has been a pretty miserable season for Twins fans so it was nice to not have to leave the game with our heads hung in shame (and disgust). And now for the pics!
Here are the kids and I by the Kirby Puckett statue before the game.
Here is Ben with Grandpa Art and also a cute one of him and Grandma Janet.
One of the cutest Twins fans I’ve ever seen!
And here’s the other Twins fan in the running for cutest of all-time. (I’m calling a two way tie!) She is posing with her favorite game accessory – a GIANT cup of pink lemonade. I seriously had to pry it out of her hands each time Ben wanted some.
A cute one of Jeff and the kids.
Ben was kind of over having his pic taken by this time so here is one of just us girls. Hallie’s “cutie smile” was on vacay for this pic but oh well!
A decent pic of Jeff and I. Hooray!
And and even more rare sight, a good-ish pic of the whole family!
And one more…Ben and Hallie getting shoulder rides from Jeff and Brad on the way out of the game.
What a great day! Thanks again Janet and Art!
