Hallie Jayne Erdall is here!

Miss Hallie was born December 30th at 8:50pm. My water broke at home around 2:00 and after Jeff rushed home from work & grandma Janet came to take care of Ben, we were off to the hospital! The labor was not bad at all (thank you epidural!) and I only had to push for 30 minutes to get her out. Much better than the 2.5 hours I spent pushing Ben!

Still, Hallie was a big girl so I'm surprised she came out so easily. She was 8lbs. 10oz. and 21 inches long. Her head is 14.5cm and when the nurse measured she said "that can't be right!" I said "why, is that big?". She said "yeah" and I said, "Then its probably right......my son has a big head too." Lol. Big head, big brain right?? :)

Ben was able to meet his little sis last night and seems to like her pretty well so far. He seemed to be more concerned about me and wanted to come up right away and sit by me. Such a sweet boy! He is coming back this afternoon to see her again and I'm looking forward to seeing him with her & seeing if it is starting to set in that we are bringing this little girl home with us!

More pics to come in the following days. We will be in the hospital until tomorrow early afternoon so I guess Jeff and I will be doing the New Years Eve countdown right here in my hospital bed! Maybe we can still sneak in a little tiny glas of champagne :) Then again, we'll probably be too tired to worry about the new year.
