An Early Christmas!

This weekend we had our first Christmas of 2008. Jeff and I had originally planned to travel to Fargo and Minot to be with my family during Christmas this year, but as you all know I am waaay to pregnant for that trip! My family was able to come to visit us and celebrate a little early instead. It was a short visit, but a really fun one - especially for Ben!

We packed a lot into our quick visit - Christmas shopping, sled rides w/grandpa for Ben, present opening, and some time on Santa's lap. Ben was pretty afraid of Santa this year but he did get up onto his lap and sat there without crying. There was NO way we were getting a smile out of him though! :)


We exchanged gifts on Friday night and of course watching Ben open his presents was the highlight. He was thrilled with everything! So much so that it was a little hard to get him to move on to opening the next present instead of playing with them all. He was absolutely AMAZED by the Elmo Live doll that he got from his Nana and Buddy (grandma & grandpa). I think I am going to be more annoyed than amazed in the long run but those kind of toys are what grandparents are for, right?
