A Baby Sprinkle, Thanksgiving & the Holidazzle Parade

A Sprinkle for Hallie

On the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving, Katie & Janet hosted a baby "sprinkle" (small shower) for Miss Hallie. We had yummy food - including some really cute fruit martinits, some fun games (name the poop!) and I got some wonderful gifts. Thank you so much to Diane, Carol (Hannah & Logan too!), Candy, Grandma Jean, Linda, Grandma Kay, Lizzie, Katie and Janet!

While I was having a great time playing games and opening gifts, Ben was having an absolute blast playing with his cousins Logan and Hannah. He showed them all his toys and they were more than happy to play with him! Ben was really sad when we had to go home for the night and kept asking for Logan and Hannah for the next few days! I only have a few pics from the Sprinkle but here they are. As always, you can click on the collages if you want to see them bigger.

Thanksgiving
As it probably was for most of you - Thanksgiving was a day of food, family and fun for us. I ate Hallie's weight in food (thats probably around 4.5 pounds by now) and Ben tried to eat his own weight in sweets. Jeff stuck to the basics - turkey, turkey and more turkey. :)
Thank you Grandma Kay & Grandpa bill for sending the little Santa lantern for Ben - as you can see - it was a hit! And thank you grandpa Art for feeding Ben whipped cream straight out of the can! Those pics were a funny surprise on my camera! :) Also check out the pic of all the people trying to put up the Christmas lights. How many Erdalls does it take....?

Holidazzle Parade

To cap off the already busy week, Jeff, Ben and I went to the Holidazzle parade with Katie and Chris on Saturday. For those who aren't familiar - the parade is held downtown and everything (and everyone) in it is all lit up for Christmas! The floats all have tons of Christmas lights and the costumes are super neat. It was a little chilly outside but I'm glad that we went when we did because its only getting colder out there!! Ben was amazed by all the lights and didn't seem to mind the cold at all! But he did his first sips of hot chocolate and all his winter gear to help keep him warm :)

Well thats all for now. Sorry for the long update....it was a busy week! Our schedule is a little lighter now until Christmas although I'm staying plenty busy trying to get everything ready for Hallie's arrival, shopping for Christmas presents, and keeping up with Ben. Jeff has been hard at work because we all know that the Holiday season = lots of wine, liquor and beer for everyone (except me darn it)!

Keep an eye on the baby countdown - only 36 days left if she comes on time. Yay!!
