Stupid leaves!!

Since there was snow on the ground yesterday we figured we better get our butts in gear and get the leaves off the ground! Our neighbors have all been raking pretty much every week since the leaves started to fall but since Jeff and I are neither retired or lovers of lawn care we have kind of been putting it off! As you can see there was quite the price to pay. Jeff ended up doing the majority of the work since one of our rakes broke again! Seriously do they make a sturdy rake these days? That was our 3rd one and we don't even rake often!


Ben played outside while we were raking and did pretty well all bundled up in his snowpants, big coat, boots, hat and mittens. Of course after being out there a few minutes he kept asking for his "mittens off!" so he didn't last too long. It was time for a nap for him anyway so in to bed he went.





He got two new stuffed animals this week - a lion that Jeff and I bought him with our tickets at Dave and Busters and also a Sponge Bob from his grandma Janet. I guess they are both a hit...here he is all snuggled up with them today at his nap. Aww! :)




Today is Grandma Jean's birthday so Jeff, Ben and I all want to say Happy Birthday Grandma! Also an early Happy Birthday to my friend Jenn....her birthday is tomorrow! :) And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone since I may not be posting before then.

***Just wanted to add a note to point out the fun new countdown to baby #2 on the sidebar to your left. Even though it is coming up SO fast I still kind of hope she makes her debut a little early like her brother did! Sleeping and walking aren't getting any easier & don't get me started on trying to put on shoes. :) To think it could be 48 days or less until she is here is crazy though!
Even crazier? Christmas is only 31 days away! I've got a lot of shopping to do, how about you??
