On Christmas weekend we decided to try and get Ben out for some practice on his hockey skates. Jeff, Brad, and Katie all played hockey so there are high hopes that Ben will be able to follow in their footsteps. Hockey is a pretty big deal around these parts, so there are kids that have probably been in skates since they were able to walk. Ben isn’t one of those kids. We tried to get him into skating last year but he wasn’t really a fan and couldn’t stay upright for more than a few seconds. He seemed to be lukewarm about going out this year but once we got there he was excited and he ended up doing really well! We were really proud to see how much better he was than last year and the look on his face when he was skating was priceless. He was so proud of himself and took the falls like a champ (for the most part).
Jeff and Katie did all the hard work and I came along mainly to see my little man on skates and take pictures. I wish I would have brought the video camera too!
