Renaissance Fair

A few weekends ago we took a trip out to the Renaissance Fair to check out the giant turkey legs and mead & to do some very interesting people watching. We rode there in our friend Dan's new truck which Ben LOVED. Right away he was saying "truck, truck!" and wanting to get into the back. And ever since that weekend he has been extra fascinated with trucks :)

It was a grey day but we had lots of fun showing Ben the petting zoo, the elephants, and all the street performers. Check out this video....the beginning part where he says "baaa" right after the sheep does is my favorite.

He also went on his very first pony ride and couldn't have been happier about it! He was so cute riding on his little black pony. He was adorable at the petting zoo where he was making all his animal sounds. He didn't ride any of the rides this year but next year he should be big enough and brave enough. It was a long day for Ben (and for Jeff and I too) as you can see from the pic of the boys sleeping in the backseat on the way home. (As always -- click on the collage to see the pics bigger if you need to! Then click the back button to get back to the blog once you are done looking.)More blog updates to come later today including a new belly bump pic (i'm huge!) and pictures from our trip to California for my cousin Sarah's wedding. Also just want to let you know that i'm going to start sharing my recent pictures online in a Google web album. That way if you want to see more pics you can check them out there. And you can right click on the pics in the Google album and download them to your own computer if you want the pics for yourself (to print or email or whatever). I know most of you get enough of Ben right here at the blog but the grandparents and aunties sometimes want copies of my pics so this will be an easy way to get at them. If you want to see the rest of the Renaissance Pics you can click this picture:

I will have links to the california trip and maybe some others as well up later today.
