Its been busy around here but not with anything too exciting so I'm sorry about the lack of updates! Jeff and I celebrated our 4 year Anniversary last weekend with two fun dates. Friday night we went to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre to see the play "Married Alive". Neither of us had been there before but we both had a good time and hope to go out there again sometime. Saturday night we had a nice dinner at Kincaids and saw Nick Dipalo at the Acme Comedy Club. It was so nice to get out and spend two nights on our own!! Thank you Janet and Art for watching Ben :)
Earlier that week I had my 28 week prental appointment. Unfortunately I failed my glucose test by four points! Since I failed, I had to schedule another (more accurate) test for a week later. I was stressing out for the whole week and worrying that I wouldn't pass and would have to be on a special diet through the holidays. Luckily I passed that second test with flying colors! Whew! I am now going to my appointments every two weeks so hopefully that helps the last trimester fly by.
My parents came to town Monday night since my Mom was flying out of Minneapolis to Maryland the next morning. (She will be working there until the middle of December and my dad will be flying out there in a few weeks as well.) We went out to dinner and came home to find an inch of water in my laundry/storage room!! My dad and I worked to get it cleaned up and tried to get the drain unclogged while my mom kept and eye on Ben. Thank goodness they were in town! My dad and I had no luck with the drain but Roto Rooter came the next morning and cut a LOT of tree roots out of our main line that goes out to the street. The guy said we may want to have them out once a year to prevent the drain from ever backing up again. Ughh. I am left to wonder if the previous homeowners had this same problem and could have warned us.
I have been in clean up & reorganizing mode all week long. We had quite a bit of stuff stored in that room that needed to be cleaned and bleached. Also my dad helped us put in a "closet" for Jeff since he was storing his clothes in our guest bedroom which is now being turned into Hallie's room. His clothes are now all downstairs and Hallie's closet is filled with pink :)
The pic I included above is one of the only ones I've taken in the last few weeks! I tried a little photo shoot here at home with Ben but he wasn't feeling cooperative that day so that pic was one of the few decents ones! I did get a cute Halloween pic too but I'm saving that one :)
Hope everyone is well! Sorry for the long (and somewhat boring) update!

Hi girlie. You had better take it easy. REMEMBER you're 30 weeks pregnant (or darn close!) so you should be resting!
I am curious what you used at the backdrop at your photo shoot with Ben? I've been looking for soemthing to use at home that would photograph so nicely!
Hey Erin! Yeah, I should be resting but you know how life is! :)
I actually just used a black sheet as the backdrop for that pic. It does photograph a little bit lighter but I edited the photo (using google picasa) and increased the shadows a bit to get it a true black. Thank you $9 sheet from Ikea!
