Easter Eggs, the Bunny & Feeding the Ducks

I have a few things from earlier this month to catch up on before I get to our trip so here they are!

One of the fun things about having kids around during Easter is that we get to dye Easter eggs and have an Easter egg hunt without feeling like big dorks! :) Ben's egg dyeing skills have improved a lot since last year - probably enough where he didn't need to be shirtless for the activity - but once he saw Hallie was going "nakie" he had to too. Hallie was really getting into it and had one hand that was almost completely blue by the end! Here are some pics of us making our eggs and also a few from the egg hunt the next day.

Earlier in the week, we had taken the kids to see the Easter bunny. As we predicted, Hallie was NOT a fan of the bunny. The people taking pics there did manage to get one with her in it, but by the time I got my camera out, we felt bad and had taken her off his lap. So here is Ben with the bunny and both of them wearing their bunny ears afterward. As you can see, Hallie ripped off one ear right away which left her looking a little more Pocahontas than baby bunny but you get the idea! :)

I also wanted to share a few pics from our first trip to Lake Harriet this year. It has become a favorite family activity to go there and walk around the lake, play on the beach, and feed the ducks. It was still a little cold when we went there, but the kids had fun anyway. There were a lot of seagulls this time and after listening to them screech for a few minutes, Hallie had a pretty good imitation going on! Here are the pics - check out the one of Ben and Hallie holding hands. It melts my heart when I see them being so sweet with each other!

Well that is all the catch up! Pics from Sasha & Tom's Wedding and California trip to come!
