Wedding in Denver

Last weekend Jeff, Ben, Hallie and I traveled to Denver to join Stacey and Mike for their wedding weekend. It was a crazy trip getting two kids and their gear all the way to Denver but it was SO worth it. Ben was super excited to be riding on a plane, got a kick out of the "train" at the airport (it was just the tram to the other terminal) and also loved the bus ride to the rental car place. Three modes of transportation in one day was pretty much the coolest thing he's done lately. :)

We arrived late thursday night and by the time we got our car, got to the hotel and got settled in it was time for bed. Ben got in some good pool time on Friday during the day - he's getting to be such a good little swimmer with his water wings. Friday evening was the wedding rehearsal and dinner. Dinner was super yummy and it was fun to get to know some of Stacey & Mike's friends and family before the big day. Most of the pictues I took from the weekend were from the rehearsal since that was the only time that I wasn't busy!

The day of the wedding I got up early and headed over to Stacey's hotel room and all us bridesmaids got ready together. We all went from tired looking girls in sweatpants to looking pretty darn good in our dresses! Stacey of course looked the best of all and it was so fun to be there to help her put her dress on and see her turn into a bride. The wedding was short and sweet and the weather was BEAUTIFUL even though rain had been in the forecast. I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed during the ceremony but Stacey and Mike did a really good job holding themselves together. I was actually kind of surprised!

The reception was a blast once I got my Maid of Honor Speech out of the way. I was SO nervous since I'm not really a public speaker! Here are a few more pics and I want to say congrats again to Stacey and Mike! Love you Mrs. L! :)
