Hallie had her 2 month doctors appointment on Friday and she is now 13 pounds and almost 24 inches tall. She is in the 98% percentile for both height and weight so she is a big girl! I don't think I mentioned it before but we had to put her on Zantac a few weeks ago for reflux since she seemed to be having some pain when she was spitting up. Like Ben, she spits up A LOT which means lots of burp rags, bibs, and clothes in the laundry. The medicine gets rid of the pain but not the spit up and if she takes as long as Ben did to grow out of it, we've got 5 more months of puke ahead! But other than that, she is a pretty easy baby, so I'll take the puke without much complaint. :) She has started really sleeping through the night lately giving me anywhere from a 6-7 hour stretch which is SO great. Last night she even slept 8 hours! The pic to the left is of her on Ocsar night. I thought it would be a good occasion for her to wear her first dress :)
Ben is keeping busy at home with Hallie and I. He is such a good little helper and doesn't seem to mind too much that we don't get out as often as we used to. It turns out that its a LOT harder to get out of the house with two kids than it is with one! Ben has been practicing his hockey & basketball skills (we brought his hoop in the house) and he is also proving to be quite the smarty pants with his alphabet cards. He knows almost all the letters! He's also a pro at identifying all his colors and has learned quite a few shapes. Don't worry, we don't sit around learning all day.....we do lots of coloring, block buliding (and knocking down) and we read tons of books. His latest favorites are Green Eggs and Ham and The Night Before Christmas. His other favorite activity is snuggling with Hallie in her crib (thats what the picture is from). He loves to go in there and watch her mobile with her in the morning when he wakes up and at night before he goes to bed. I hope that he always loves her this much!
Okay enough about MY kids, I want to say congrats to our friends Dan & Nikki on the arrival of their baby girl Amelia Ann! I hope Dan doesn't mind that he is now pictured on my blog - he looks like such a proud papa in this picture so I had to share it.Amelia was born on February 21st and Jeff and I went to the hospital to meet her the next day. It was so crazy to see a tiny newborn and realize how much Hallie has grown already. Its really fun to see our friends having kids. Jeff and I led the pack in that area so we love to have more and more of our friends becoming parents and realizing how great (and time consuming) it is! Now they know what we've been up to for the past two and a half years. :) Congrats again Dan & Nikki -- she couldn't be any more perfect and we can't wait to see her (and you guys) again soon!
