Our First Week at Home

We've now been at home for a week - its gone by so fast! Hallie is doing well and spends her days eating and sleeping with short periods of being awake mixed in every once in awhile. She's quite the sleepy girl so she has been pretty easy so far. She isn't fussy and seems laid back like her brother was so I'm hoping that this lasts!

Jeff and Ben have been getting in lots of quality time so Ben seems to be just fine with having a new sister at home. :) They went ice skating on Tuesday while I ran to Target for groceries and they had such a good time! Ben didn't get on skates since the rental part was closed but he had a great time being carried and pushed around on the ice by dad. I was sad that I didn't get to see it but Ben definitely wants to go again so maybe next time I can go along for a little bit!

Also during our first week at home Hallie got to meet my parents! The weather was so stormy when she was born that they waited to come and see her until the weekend. Of course they were totally smitten with her and Ben had so much fun with them in town. He got to go swimming and spent the night at the hotel with his Nana and his Buddy :) They are hoping to come back for another visit really soon and we can't wait to see them again! Love you guys!

Hallie had her one week checkup yesterday and the doctor said she looks just perfect. She now weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces. The doctor was pleased at her weight gain and said feeding must be going well. She doesn't need to go back to the doctor now until she is 2 months old.

After a week off, Jeff goes back to work next Monday. He has been so great this week and I'm not quite sure how I will manage without his help! I'm sure things will go just fine but I'm trying not to think about it until Sunday night rolls around :)

This weekend we are celebrating my 28th birthday on Friday and also expecting a visit from Jeff's grandma Kay and aunt Diane who are coming to meet little Hallie.

Also I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little sis Ali, whose birthday was yesterday and to Stacey whose birthday was on Saturday! Presents will be a little late for both of you....so sorry!!! :)

Well thats all for now - more pictures and updates to come I'm sure!

Yippee! You updated :) I am living vicariously through you since our baby girl won't be here for 4 more months. She is just precious! Who do people say she looks like? I'm sure you're just LOVING a little girl in your home. Aren't they fun?!

You're right, I'm loving all the pink and girlie stuff! :) So far people are mostly saying she looks like her brother! Its so hard to tell when they are little though so we will see!
